Dominate Player Versus Player Using this Paladin PvP Guide

Playing a Paladin class character in World of Warcraft PvP requires a little bit of schizophrenia. Paladins can fight like tanks, but at the same time have the magical power to heal themselves and others, at least while their mana lasts. Understanding the strengths and weaknesses of this class is crucial if you want to dominate in player versus player combat.

Given their two-sided personality, it’s no surprise that a Paladin can play more than one role in PvP. In duels, a Paladin’s ability to heal themselves makes them frustrating and dangerous opponents. With a full load of mana, they can heal back from almost any level of damage once or twice and essentially triple their health bar. In other words, a smart Paladin with mana available to use will still be standing long after they “should” be dead. When playing as part of a group, A Paladin will often end up in a support role, providing bubbles, blessings, heals, and combat assistance throughout the battlefield in ways that no other class can do.

But the Paladin class has its downsides too. In the best of circumstances, a Paladin doesn’t have a lot of mana to work with, and once it is gone, so are many of this classes advantages. Regardless of the amount of mana they have available, Paladins can have a terrible time drawing close enough to Hunters and Mages to even be able to hit them! The 2 secrets to winning as a Paladin are knowing how best to use your limited mana supply, and understanding how to fight each of the opposing classes. As with other WoW classes, figuring out what you need to do by personal experience is a long, slow, bloody process.

This is where a Paladin PvP Guide comes in. A good guide gives you a blueprint for fighting against each other character class. And that’s not all it will give you. A quality PvP Guide will teach you just about everything there is to know about achieving victory in each PvP situation, whether dueling one-on-one or as a member of a group.

Find out how your Paladin can dominate the battlefield and earn more than a 2200 honor rating in as little as 38 days with the PvP Bible. Where Can I Fight Player versus Player?

You can get into PvP combat in various different settings. Knowing something about the different settings will help you find or avoid combat as you wish, and help you understand what everyone else is talking about! Keep reading for a super-fast introduction to each setting:

Fighting Duels

Duels are one-on-one battles. You can duel pretty much anywhere you want, except within cities. One of the best places to find someone to duel against is the entrance to any major city, which is where duelists often hang out looking for someone to challenge.

The Battlegrounds

Horde and Alliance go at it in the battlegrounds, competing to win battles and earn marks. Marks serve as a sort of money that you can trade for various items, including better PvP gear. You can exchange marks for stuff at the special PvP vendor shops.

The Arenas

Arena combat is organized team versus team combat in the form of an ongoing tournament. Teams (2v2, 3v3, 5v5) battle against other teams of the opposing faction as well as against teams of their own faction. You become a member of a team to fight in the arena and earn Arena Points as a team.

Random PvP

Random combat can happen whenever you run into an enemy player who has their PvP flag set. In PvP realms, you PvP flag is automatically on, except when you are in certain protected areas. You can manually turn your PvP flag on and off by typing /pvp, and various circumstances will turn it on automatically, even if you aren’t playing in a PvP realm.

World PvP

Some zones have goals that involve PvP. To complete these you’ll need to be ready to fight. Zones with these kinds of goals include, the Eastern Plaguelands, Silithus, Hellfire Peninsula, Zangarmarsh, Terokkar Forest, and Nagrand.

PvP Zones

Wintergrasp is the first of a new type of zone that is totally dedicated to PvP combat. Expect more in the future.

What Next?

You should now have a basic understanding of the different settings where you can find PvP combat. But there’s so much more to learn if you really want to dominate PvP combat, or even hold your own against more experienced players. Druids, Dominate Player Versus Player Using This Top-Rated PvP Guide

Fighting PvP as a Druid offers many options and opportunities, along with the potential for confusion and frustration. Druids are very tough to kill in the arena, and can resist many of the magical skills used by the opposition. With their ability to heal, fight like a Warrior and even change forms, they can play any role in PvP. Unfortunately, that very versatility makes your Druid a prime target, and makes Druid PvP play very challenging.

One disadvantage of the Druid’s flexibility is that their best strategy for dealing with each type of opponent varies. That means to compete with the top players in the arena you need to master many PvP techniques. It’s hard, but certainly not impossible. And if you’ve got allies, you need to be able to adapt your tactics to take into account their abilities too. You can do this on your own, but it takes a while to figure it all out by yourself.

Many people believe that Druids have the best talents for 2v2 arena play. A sizable minority would argue for the Rogue, but the Druid adds more depth and variety to 2-person teams. A well designed Druid with solid strategy and tactics can own most any opponent in duels, and lead a top-tier 2v2 arena team. These same attributes make Druids welcome additions to most 3v3 or 5v5 teams.

Of course, to get the most out of your Druid in PvP play, you need to know not only how to use its strengths, but how to compensate for its PvP weaknesses too. You also need to equip your Druid with the right gear to increase your Player versus Player survival rate. Learning everything you need to know to get the very best out of your Druid in PvP takes work, but it is worth the effort. Happily, other gamers have already learned all this stuff, and have been willing to write it all down in using a Druid in PvP Guide books. Choosing the best Druid Guide will save you many hours of trial and error as you get your character ready to dominate PvP combat.
